Happy Birthday, Taylor!

Taylor Ray McMillian is here! He arrived at 12:34 AM,
October 4th. (Although my watch said 12:40...)

Taylor is absolutely perfect--without blemish, I tell
you...although there is an outside chance that some
bias might be involved. LOL He weighed 7 lbs., 2 oz.
Measuring in at 21 inches, he has gorgeously long,
black eyelashes. His hair is dark brown, and the
jury's still out on his eye color. (Either a deep, deep
blue--or a dark, dark brown.) He's currently hanging
out underneath a heat lamp in the nursery--it's a
little after 4 AM--and seems to be content just to lay
there and look around.

Yvette is doing great, and did a wonderful job
bringing Taylor into this world. Her contractions
started at around 9 PM Tuesday night, and progressed
quite rapidly. I drove her to the hospital at 10:00,
and she dilated to a 9 in less than an hour.

We feel fortunate and blessed that everything went
well. This has been the most amazing journey of my
life, and I will never forget this experience!

Stay tuned for more updates...

I just thought of something very dorky. When he gets older and can talk, and people ask him when his birthday is, he can say "10-4 good buddy!" (can anyone tell I am trying very hard not to have to do any real work today?) (I cant help it, it just popped in to my head. It happens sometimes.)

Your new miracle is absolutely beautiful and a gift from God. Yvette looks so pretty and peaceful and so does little Taylor. Congratulations, we can hardly wait to see him and his wonderful parents. Take care of him and his mother as I know you will. Love to all 3 of you!!
